Accommodation

The accommodations will be primarily in old Coffee Haciendas. These haciendas are mainly coffee plantations and some are ranching places. All haciendas have a coffee sent and the love from the “Arrieros”, their owners open the doors and welcome the group to their homes. You will stay in multiple accommodations, with rooms for two, three, or four people. Couples are accommodated separately. Each hacienda has two to four bathrooms located in living areas and some have private bathrooms.

Day 1: Meet at Hotel Mocawa plaza at 10:00.

Coffee Tasting

Day 2: Horseride from Buena Vista to Córdoba Hotel Soñarte.

Day 3: Horseride around Córdoba.

Day 4: Cordoba Hotel Soñarte to Barcelona Hacienda La Joya.

Day 5: Hacienda La Joya to Hacienda La Paloma

Day 6: Hacienda la Paloma to Salento.

Day 7: Horseride through Valle del Cocora with local horses and the rest of the day is free for you to enjoy.

Day 8: After breakfast at 9:00 transfer to the Armenia airport.

A happy, smiling, and charming man, German is a real adventurer. He fell in love with horses since he was little and been traveling through all his life in horse expeditions. When he speaks, he transmits his love for life, adventure, and wildlife.
Ernesto Barreto
Ernesto is a real adventurer and horse rider! Since he was little, he decided the best way to know and travel his country was by horse. On 2009, he created and founded Valle Verde, the first company in Colombia specialized in horseback riding through the country. He is dedicated to transmitting his passion to riders around the world.
Bernardo Salazar
He was born a horse, people, and wildlife lover. He is a person that will be in charge of making every adventure unforgettable. He is the best and friendliest friend on the trip. He lives the dream traveling by horse and is a real expert in Colombian “Criollo” horses.

Location

In this horse riding holiday, you will ride through "la ruta del cafe". It is one of the most ancient and proud horse riding cultures in Colombia. The “Arriero” is the local cowboy and merchant in the coffee zone in Colombia, he is a hardworking and passionate horseman. The interior development of Colombia was produced thanks to the adventurer and hardworking spirit of these men that used groups of mules and horses to colonize the most inhabitable corners of the complex topography of Colombia.

Food

Gastronomy is one of the strong cards and a principal attraction in the journey. During the trip, food is always traditional from Colombia, including “Bandeja Paisa”, rainbow trout with “patacón”, steak, pork, chicken, and salads. There are also fruits, juices, and traditional desserts local from every place. You can’t leave the “Arepa Paisa” out of every breakfast. The meals are always served with a beverage. And of course you will be served the world’s best coffee.

There will be an open bar for all the trip that can be purchased on the first day and will be active on special occasions. The price for this service costs an additional 110 USD.
