Twin Elm is surrounded by beautiful scenery and lots of horsepower…the 4 legged kind that is. But they also have the perfect surrounding for "the other horsepower." The City of Bandera has two bike rallies a year and they have bikes filtering in from all over Texas as well as around the US.

Types of rooms

There are 21 units available here at the Twin Elm Ranch for you to choose from. Each unit is clean and comfortable, includes heating and air conditioning, and all have a rustic appeal. Currently they have 4 different types of lodges each with its own character, special name, and Texas feel!

The Cowboy Bunkhouse has four units side by side with a large porch to sit and relax on.

The Pioneer House is eight units side by side and has a wonderful view of the main ranch.

The Travel Lodge (which is the oldest existing unit) is six units side by side complete with a screened in porch and attached to our fun game room.

Twin Elm offers simple yet comfortable family friendly accommodations. Each room has a different sleeping arrangement to accommodate many different needs. There are rooms with double beds only, rooms with double beds and bunk beds, even adjoining rooms with extra bunks and all have a shady porch to relax on.

The Honeymoon Suite Cabin has a king size bed, 2E Cabin has a double bed with two sets of bunks and the Stirrup Lodge Cabin has two double beds with two sets of bunk beds. All three cabins have a TV with a variety of video's available upon request. Cable TV is available in the game room.

Note: Thank you for not smoking in any of the rooms or cabins.


General information about the hotel

Twin Elm has the perfect accommodations just for you or your riding club. Come camp out by the Medina River, trailer your bike and stay at 2E RV or reserve a room or cabin here at the ranch…whatever your preference is they are here to accommodate. After you have rested up, ride the hill country surrounding Bandera…The Twisted Sisters, Lost Maples, Tarpley-Utopia, Bandera-Luckenback and the Camp Verde Loop. Come night time, Bandera comes alive with lots of nightlife…11th Street Cowboy Bar with Steak Night on Wednesday's, The Chicken Coop with great food and outdoor porch overlooking town, Long Horn Saloon for Boot Scootin, Arkey Blues where there is always a Jam session on Sunday and also The Wild Horse Saloon where the locals hang out…all offering live bands and lots of fun. Whether you come during the rallies or just a weekend getaway…make it Bandera and come rest your head at Twin Elm.

How to get there

Recommended Airports

Driving directions from San Antonio

  • From Loop 1604 to Bandera Road, coming out of Helotes (San Antonio), drive north about 45 minutes (about 45 miles).
  • Once you get into Bandera take a right at the light on to Main Street (also Hwy 16).
  • Go about 3 miles heading out of town. You will pass Mansfield Park on the right.
  • Next, on the right, you will see BEC (Bandera Electric Coop). Just past BEC you will see a green sign that will direct you to Tarpley & Utopia. *Take a left there, go over the bridge and go past the Twin Elm Rodeo grounds.
  • Immediately following the Rodeo Grounds you will see the "Twin Elm Guest Ranch" sign. This is the:
  • First Entrance into the ranch, take a right and go up and around the hill and the office will be on your right. The office is for the Ranch and the RV Park, however, RV guest please do not enter here. They have low trees in the entrance.
  • Second Entrance, on right of Highway 470, take a right and go up a steep hill to the "Pioneer House" located immediately on left.
  • Third Entrance, on right, is for the RV guest. Also on right of Highway 470, take a right in front of the actual "Chuck Wagon" that is the sign for "2E RV Guest Ranch Resort." (Again, RVer's, please do not enter any other entrance other than the third entrance.)

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 10% of the total price.
  • The deposit is non-refundable, if the booking is cancelled.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
