The High Lonesome Ranch Vacation USA Program

Program

During this ranch vacation, the staff will keep you busy with riding lessons, trail rides, Western obstacle courses, participation in a real cattle drive, team penning, roping, sporting clays, wild horse viewing, picnics, and wildlife viewing. If it’s your first time in the saddle or your 50th year, this ranch vacation is a good fit.

First of all, you’ll really get to know your horse so you two can learn to work together. You’ll get to know your fellow dude ranchers so you can have company along the way or help each other on the trail. You’ll see things from the height of a horse with all new eyes.

Initially, you will take a trail ride to get oriented with your horse. This ride will confirm that you have the right horse. With the help of a skilled wrangler, you will ride and care for your horse the entire week. Your skill level doesn’t matter. The seasoned riding instructors are patient and passionate about making sure you have a pleasant riding experience.

You’ll ford streams, ride miles of mountain valleys and trails, and drive cattle. This ranch vacation will bond your family or group like never before. You’ll also bond with your horse which is hand-picked just for you and chosen to fit your riding ability and temperament. You will also have a new ranch family that includes other guests, your wranglers, and especially your horses.

After each day’s adventure, you will take part in the Cowboy Mingle which is a variety of events before the dinner bell rings. Belly up to the refreshment bar and then it’s time to relive your day with your wranglers, your trail ride saddle pals, and other ranch staff. You will share some of your stories which will be exciting or harrying, adventurous, and funny. The day’s photos will be ready to view on the big screen and will help add to the storytelling.

All of the ridings will be Western but the instructors have a thorough knowledge of other styles as well, including English, dressage, and hunter / jumper. The ranch can accommodate riders from all disciplines. The number one priority is to make sure you have an excellent experience.
