"Amazing Big Sky experience "

The family were amazing and made you feel at home. They were incredibly knowledgeable and experienced. The horses were very well trained and amazing to ride. They were well fitted with the guest's experience and ability and were perfectly independent (not nose-to-tail riding)! I absolutely loved my stay at Rocking Z and would recommend it to anyone looking for a horsey holiday filled with beautiful views, great riding and a lot of learning from beginners to advanced riders.

I highly and without reservation recommend Rocking Z ranch to beginner and advanced horse lovers. The location is beautiful beyond words; gives new meaning to the word, "big Montana Sky." The horse herd are impressively gentled, trained, responsive, and lovingly cared for. The riding and instruction were beyond anything I could have imagined; I learned valuable horseman skills everyday and enjoyed every trek, every session of western riding, every cow herding lesson, every lesson of Parelli horsemanship. The staff, family and interns all displayed consummate professionalism while exuding warmth and a willingness to share their knowledge. They have a wonderful combination of a holistic approach to horsemanship flavored by good old fashioned horse sense. The food: oh boy, so good. Whether you are a meat eater, vegetarian, gluten or dairy free every meal was a culinary delight. Compliments to Patty and Peggy for their loving attention to each meal. And, a shout out to all the helpers at meal times, before , after, and during for their support. The room I shared with my sister and daughter, "3 Mile Charlie," was roomy and gave us a place to relax and get a great night's sleep. We loved the gas stove that cheerily warmed up the room.

Patty and Zack and their family have developed a one of a kind experience. I would like to especially single out Justy who was our guide for the week. And to Julie the intern and to Bridgette. Thank you all. You made this experience special.
