Accommodation

You will be accommodated at the bed and breakfast of R&R Dude Ranch. In its tranquil setting of a charming turn of the century farmhouse nestled among the old willow trees, overlooking the Cattaraugus Creek sits on the 66-acre working horse ranch, right here in Western New York. It is perfect for your family vacation. Housekeeping is provided upon request while all linens are provided.

Your bed and breakfast will comprise room, breakfast, jacuzzi, creek for fishing swimming or tubing. Trails for hiking, ATV, snowmobile, riding, hunting, volleyball, horseshoes, ping pong, badminton, ice skating, snow tube, and cross country.

Program

The horseback riding consists of a 20-minute complimentary "Meet Your Mount" orientation and safety instruction along with a breathtaking trail ride through the woods and meadows, including a babbling brook.

You will not ride in thunder, lightning, nor below 20 degrees Celsius. You will be here for approximately one and a half hours, the 20 minutes' complimentary lesson is to make sure you can stop, start, and turn your mount.

The horses

Here at R&R, the unique relationship formed between horse and rider can lead to increase confidence, patience, and self-esteem. Below are some of the horses here at the ranch. Those who have visited already know and love them, those that haven't are in for a real treat!

Apache

This flashy black-and-white pinto is good to go, for just about anybody, he listens and wants to please. A little head shy, but with a little tender loving care and learning to trust again, who knows?

Bandit

He is an amazing black-and-white paint with a great attitude that will go through anything for his rider.

Bella

A smooth ride with lots of experience

Buckle

He is a gorgeous Mustang who goes easily in either English or Western.

Casey

Casey is a great cowboy horse. Wow, does he make you look good? The arched neck, the confidence, the shiny red body of this Quarter Horse gelding is everything you could want in amount. He will go anywhere, anytime, never spooking, or question your directive.

Devil

Devil is really flashy, a little nervous, needs more trail experience for medium to advanced rider only!

General

He is a big guy willing to give you a fun ride.

Ginger

What a mover! Wonderful bareback, impatient, and takes a relaxed rider.

Gypsy

A silver beauty with black mane and tail hosts the smoothest of rides taking lead, joining a group, or tailing. Mount her bareback and she will take you anywhere!

Jericho

A flashy blue-eyed baby, four years old. A perfect gentleman who is very social, takes lead, goes through anything and loves to move out.

Lacy

A fun mount that loves to go. The perfect Palamino with a Quarter Horse attitude. A real love bug!

  • Quinten

He loves to lead and walks out really fast. He drives and jumps. He is loads of fun for an advanced rider.

*Sassy

Sassy is a wonderful mare to take riding because she enjoys the trails, takes lead without hesitation. She is perfect in the arena showing off for her rider with her smooth gate.

Spitfire

The sweetest personality and mover just wants to please, he is a great beginner horse!

Sunny

A perfect gentleman with power steering.

Taffey

This red roan sweetie is wonderful to ride. You can just sit back and enjoy the scenery, never worrying about your safety. She will bring you home with a song in your heart. Coming out of early retirement both Casey and Taffey are a gift to the ranch from Carol and Bruce from New Jersey. Because of their dedication to a just cause in a third world country, they found themselves without the time to ride.
