Come and live a different experience within a rural setting in the northeast of Mexico with a Western theme! At La Loma Working Ranch, you will have the opportunity to enjoy and enter the world of the horse through a didactic stay. You will also put into practice different methods or techniques used in assisted learning with horses such as natural horsemanship and assisted leadership with horses through Western riding. You will have the opportunity to live in the heart of the culture of Northern Mexico, to savor their food and dance with their music, as well as to witness the intimate relationship in customs and culture with the southern border of the United States.

You will be accommodated in a shared room or camping type (tepee) at La Loma Working Ranch.


Day 1: Arrival

Welcome at the Monterrey International Airport (MTY)! After your arrival, you will have a light dinner in the social area with a bonfire and complimentary drinks.

Day 2: Natural horsemanship class

You will start the day with a traditional breakfast in the region, followed by a tour of the facilities and a brief talk about the region, the geographical location, and the history of La Loma Working Ranch. Arriving at noon, you will present yourselves for the first time to the horses and you will make your first approach. Afterward, you will start with the natural horsemanship class, dedicating all the effort from the staff to transmit their knowledge and technique. After this, you will have your food and a tour of the town. Later, you will get ready to live a "Norteña" night with music and regional food around a bonfire in Las Lomas Working Ranch's social area.

Day 3: Horse riding classes / tours

This day starts with a lot of energy. After breakfast, you will start the riding practices with the Western rein, or, if you already know the technique, you will go directly to have a ride in the surroundings of the ranch in rural settings and natural scenic views. You will return for the food and later, you will have your activity with horses that consists of learning the wisdom of this animal. Then, dinner will be prepared by the inhabitants of the locality.

Day 4: Horse riding classes / tours

You need to have breakfast early because you will have a long day. If on the day before you have learned enough in the mountain class, you will go for a ride for about three hours. You will return for lunch and will have the afternoon free to dedicate it to activities that encourage the cowboy tradition. It can also be a good time to leave Safari Fotógrafo, you decide. As the sun goes down on the horizon, dinner will be prepared and you will all get involved and celebrate with music and drinks.

Day 5: Departure

This day, you will dedicate yourselves to have everything ready for your return to be safe and according to the time necessary to avoid setbacks. You will have breakfast with a last regional dish. You will not say goodbye, if not, until then, friend!
