During this vacation, you will be accommodated at Double R Ranch. The Cabin comfortably sleeps seven with two lofts that kids will enjoy. The Tepee sleeps six and is a replica of a plain Indian dwelling. There is also a luxurious guest RV that sleeps six.


Horseback riding is Double R Guest Ranch's specialty. Their experienced staff, well-mannered horses, and spectacular scenery make for an unforgettable experience. Ride with them in the mountains that were the homelands to Apache chiefs Geronimo and Cochise.

The Double R Ranch has developed a diverse horseback riding program. The gentle well-trained horses are the heartbeat of the ranch and they have some of the best trail riding available anywhere. This is your chance to experience the true western lifestyle that most only sees in the movies.

Double R Ranch offers exceptional horseback riding in the mountainous rugged Arizona terrain surrounding the ranch. Whether you are an experienced rider or it is your first time in the saddle, they will make sure you get exactly what you are looking for!

Beginners can enjoy a leisurely ride on the gentle trails surrounding the ranch. Riders with more experience will have opportunities for different guided rides in the surrounding mountains. Many of the mountain trails will challenge even the most advanced riders.

Additional lessons

Enhance your riding experience by taking extra horseback riding lessons. It costs 40 USD per person for groups of two or more and private lessons cost 50 USD. Lessons are one hour in duration.

Please book your flight to arrive at Tucson International Airport (TUS). A shuttle service is available for pick up and drop off and costs 60 USD per person each way.

Pick up rates for Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) are available upon request. Shuttle service to Tombstone, Kartchner Caverns, Bisbee, Old Tucson, and Biosphere 2 are available. Please send Double R Ranch an inquiry for more information on transfers.

Cancellation Policy

  • A reservation requires a deposit of 20% of the total price.
  • The deposit is fully refundable if the booking is cancelled up to 60 days before the arrival date.
  • The rest of the payment should be paid on arrival.
